Deputy Governor of Kunar ‘Kidnapped’ in Peshawar

The Deputy Governor of Kunar province, Qazi Muhammad Nabi Ahmadi has been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Peshawar, Pakistan, local officials said.

Mr. Nabi has been reportedly kidnapped from the busy Dabgari Garden area of Peshawar, where he wanted to visit a doctor for his treatment.

Sources said Afghan embassy has officially informed the Pakistan Foreign Office and the Afghan consulate in Peshawar.

This comes as the Pakistan Police have not commented regarding the incident so far.
