‘Different Levels’ of Taliban Included in U.S. List to Pakistan
“Pakistan can take effective actions if it uses the capacities it owns. The [U.S.] list is similar with the one, which was given by Kabul to Islamabad, in terms of the Taliban militants and their ranks,” presidential spokesman, Shah Hussain Murtazawi, told Ariana News.
The remarks comes after U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Tuesday handed over a list of 75 militants to Pakistani officials during his visit from the country, asking for solid actions.
Pakistani officials confirmed that the Haqqani network is on the top of the list.
In February, Afghanistan also handed over a list of 85 terrorists believed to be operating from within Pakistan, but no action was taken against yet.
