District governor killed in Takhar blast

A district governor was killed in northern Takhar province.
Ashkamash district governor along with two of his bodyguards were killed in Takhar on Sunday morning.
Provincial governor spokesman, Sunatullah Taimor, said: “Abdul Hameed Haqjo, Ashkamash district governor was examining police checkpoints in Qara Taipa area while IEDs placed in the road went off.”
He added,” district governor, district chief of communications and two police officers were killed in this attack”.
Taliban insurgents group has not made a comment about the attack yet.
