Dozens of Afghan policemen surrender to Taliban in Urozgan

Officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have confirmed that 65 Afghan National Civil Order Police ( ANCOP ) forces have surrendered themselves to Taliban in Qarna area of Trinkot city of Uruzgan province.

according to  the local officials in Uruzgan 250 Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) forces have surrendered  to Taliban the number which was declared by the officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs false.

Uruzgan provincial council members Mohammad Zaher Nadiri and Mohammad Karim Karimi said,” Taliban have launched serious attack over the Afghan public protection security forces battalion last night, where 3 of the ANCOP forces were killed.”

Further they added that inside the battalion there were 10 containers of ammunition, 50 armored vehicles which were seized by Taliban.

According to their statements as serious war continues between the two sides, it underestimates other security check points at risk of falling into Taliban hands.

Due to disrupting telephone conversation and poor signal Ariana News couldn’t establish clear contact with the local residents at Uruzgan province to access more information and details over the incident.

Taliban have yet to confirm surrendering of the Afghan public protection security forces.
