Dr. Kraus: Tensions in Taliban’s leadership creates a great opportunity for Afghanistan

President of Chin Security Company, Dr. Michael Kraus in the United States says differences in Taliban’s leadership have created a huge gap among this group and Afghanistan can turn the situation to its advantage.

Dr. Michael Kraus speaks of his interest for stability in Afghanistan saying, Taliban’s former leader; Mullah Omar’s death can be a great opportunity for Afghanistan.

After the death of Taliban’s elusive founder Mullah Omar revealed after two years, many rifts widen in Taliban’s leadership.

“We are interested in Peace issues. In this current crisis among Taliban leaders, Afghanistan can turn peace talks process to its advantage,” Kraus said.

He also warned that there is the possibility that Daesh group threatening Afghanistan if the country does not reach to peace and stability.

This comes as recently tensions rages among Taliban leaders; Part of Taliban leaders warned their new leader, Mullah Akhtar Muhamad Mansour of delegating his authorities.

The divisions threaten a formal split in the Taliban. They also provide an opening to rival Islamic State (IS), the Middle East-based extremist movement that has attracted renegade Taliban commanders in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.
