The economic growth of the country and Per capita income have declined over the last ten years, the minister of economic said.

Mapping out the first 100 days to the media outlets, the minister of economic said that more than thirty-six percent of the population now live below the poverty line.

The economics ministry noted that by coordinating the foreign aids improve the non-organized economic situation of the country.

“Most of the foreign aids in the country have been improperly spend by the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs),” Abdul Satar Murad, minister of economics said.

According to him, the economic growth rate of the country is shocking and the country would face an economic crisis if the government does not find economic solutions.

It has been said many times that Afghanistan is at a crossroads. This has never been truer than now. The withdrawal of most international troops by 2014 will have a profound and lasting impact on the country’s economic and development fabric.

Growth is projected to remain weak in 2014, although a smooth political and security transition would help bolster confidence and enable economic growth to pick up in 2015.

The economy of Afghanistan has improved significantly since 2002 due to the infusion of billions of dollars in international assistance and investments, as well as remittances from Afghan expatriates.
