EU Envoy Emphasize on Cordial Afg-Pak Relations

European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan, Franz Michael Mellbin says Afghanistan will think to rehabilitate its relation with Pakistan.
During a speech in the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) Mellbin has said that President Ghani is committed to continue its plan to improve relations with Islamabad and retake peace talks.
He has encouraged Kabul and Islamabad to establish a cordial relation, and warns that non-governmental figures and groups will benefit the deterioration between the two countries.
EU envoy has called Pakistan’s role in the reconciliation process very important and said Pakistan can pressure Pakistan to facilitate peace-dialogue between the Afghan government and Taliban insurgents.
