Afghanistan Executive Office says that the main organizers of election frauds are the commissioners of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) that would be dismissed in the near future.

The executive office noted that after the replacement of new characters in electoral bodies, they will decide about the introduction of fraud organizers to the judicial institutions.

“Commissioners who are currently in the electoral commissions are accused of organizing frauds and irregularities and neglect. They would not manage the upcoming elections, because new commissioners will be appointed,” Mujib Rahimi, spokesman of executive officer said.

However, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) said that President Ghani called IEC to prepare the upcoming election timetable.

“The decree that President Ghani has recently issued says that the IEC submits its proposed date and according to the decree the commission will begin to work,” Aziz Bakhteyari, IEC commissioner said.

This comes as that the Executive Office declared “As Afghan people witnessed electoral irregularities they will introduce the perpetrators to the judicial institution in the near future.

Changing the presidential system to chancellery was one of the CEO’s plans during his electoral campaigns.

Spokesman of CEO claims that a transparent election can pave the way for holding Loya Jirga about changing the political system.
