The Chief Executive Officer, (CEO), Abdullah Abdullah at the first session of ministerial council in the new solar year, has strongly condemned the bomb blast at Youhanabad Church in Lahore state of Pakistan.

Expressing sorrow over loss of lives, CEO emphasized that the attack was carried out by the known militant groups.

“The Lahore attack was a terrorist incident and we express our deep sorrows to Pakistani people,” said CEO, Abdullah Abdullah.

At least 72 people were killed and more than 320 others injured when a suicide bomber targeting Christians blew himself up at a busy park in Lahore on Sunday.

Many of the victims had lined up to buy tickets for a train ride when the blast occurred. The dead included 36 kids.

Because of the innocent setting, an unusually high number of those injured were women and children. But the attack, claimed by a splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban, intentionally targeted Christians, the perpetrators say.

“The development, infrastructure, agriculture and urban development projects are effective for the situation of people and the new projects will be implement in current year,” added CEO.
