A heavy explosion in northern, Balkh province of Afghanistan left 4 dead and 14 others wounded.
Abdul Razaq Qaderi, Provincial police chieft said, the incident took place after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was detonated on roadside in Khulm district.

No groups have commented regarding the report yet.
Balkh is among the relatively peaceful provinces in northern Afghanistan but the anti-government armed militant groups have recently increased to their insurgency activities.
