Explosion jolted Herat City
An explosion jolted western Herat city of Afghanistan.
Provincial police spokesman, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi confirmed the incident, said at least one civilian person was killed and five others including a policeman were wounded in the blast.
According to the reports the blast has occurred in the minarets road of Herat.
At the same time Helmand Provincial Council members claim that Khanshin district of Helmand province has fallen to the hand of Taliban militants.
Abdul Majeed Akhundzada, the deputy of Helmand PC said that Taliban militants have taken the control of some parts in Khanshin and Garmsir districts.
He added, that Khanshin police chief and security chief is wounded in the clashes with Taliban.
But security officials yet to make a comment.
A Taliban spokesman claimed earlier this morning that they have taken the control of Khanshin district again.
