First session of IDLG held in Sepidar Palace
The first session of the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) held on Monday in Sepidar Palace.
The session was held for addressing and sharing the challenges with top governmental officials.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Abdullah Abdullah says that some independent governmental organs did not have any direct links with government leaders in the past but from now on, they can share the challenges with government leaders for finding solutions.
“There are many shortcoming and the chairmen of these organs do not have enough access to government leaders. We will hold this session every two months,” said CEO, Abdullah Abdullah.
CEO also stresses on practical steps for consolidating of relations.
“The local governance duties were always in our priorities and we should consolidate our relations,” CEO added.
This comes as many Afghan citizens criticized the existence of widespread corruption in these organs and called for solving this challenge.
