Five Daesh Commanders Killed in Airstrikes in Jawzjan

At least five commanders of Islamic State (IS) militants or Daesh have been killed in Afghan air forces’ operation in northern Jawzjan province of Afghanistan, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement Sunday. 

The airtrikes were conducted in Chaqma Choqur region of Qoshtepa district that killed five key commanders of  Daesh, including Mullah Abdul Ahad, Qari Mohibullah, Damullah Sadruddin, Qari Mawdood and Faiz Mohammad, the statement said.

According to the statement, the IS insurgents were killed when their vehicle – travelling from Chaqma Choqur village of Qoshtepa district to Sardara village of Darzab district was targeted by the Afghan air forces.
