Five Killed, 3 Wounded In Ghazni Traffic Accident

A Corolla vehicle and a fuel tanker have collided in Ghazni – Kandahar highway in south of Afghanistan, killing 5 people and injuring another three, a local official told Ariana News on Sunday.

Jawid Salangi, spokesman for the governor of Ghazni, said the incident took place early this morning when a Saracha vehicle collided with a fuel tanker in Qarabagh district of Ghazni province which left five people dead and three others wounded.

He added that children and women are among the causalities.

Accidents are common in Afghanistan’s highways where roads are often in a poor state.

Officials blame drivers for reckless driving that usually causes deadly accidents in Ghazni – Kandahar highway.
