Four Taliban mine planters were killed in their own mine explosion in Zabul province.

Ghulam Jailani Farahi, provincial security head of Zabul province told Ariana News, Last night four Taliban mine planters were killed while they were planting a mine in Omgi area of Qalat town.

Planting roadside bombs is a Taliban tactic that usually causes high causalities to governmental forces and civilians in Afghanistan.

According to a report released by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) about 713 civilians were killed and 1,655 others were injured as a result of the improvised explosive devices, such as roadside bombs in 2015 in Afghanistan which is the second leading cause of casualties in the country.
