General Attorney to finalize MUDA official’s corruption case

Deputy Minister of Urban Development has said that the corruption case of the Ministry of Urban Development Affairs officials will be finalized less than a month by the General Attorney.

Hamid Jalil, Deputy Minister of Urban Development said that all features and documents have been submitted to the investigation committee.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has suspended the duties of the six high ranking officials of the ministry of urban development after reportedly being involved in corruption.

 The suspended officials include Ahmadshah Hemat, Urban Development Director, Gul Rahim Ziarmal, Plan and Policy Director, Mohammad Aminullah Qani, Head of Apartments Cohesion, Mohammad Aminullah Amin, Director of Property and Accommodation and Ahmad Nawaz Bakhtyar, Director of Housing Enterprise, Director Finance Apartments Cohesion Syed Aman Sadat.

Meanwhile, Jalil emphasized that the money of those who paid for Apartments to the ministry are reversed and the process of Apartment distribution is transparent.

Despite the National Unity Government continued cooperation with the coordination of the international community in regards with the improvement of the good governance, the afghan citizens are confronting with corruptions that can bring serious obstacles in the ways of the social developing grounds, weakening the trusting process on the people.

The National Unity Government should establish a mechanism to be able to uproot corruptions, bring those accused individuals to the justice.
