General Abdul Rashid Dostum, Ashraf Ghani’s First Vice President will return home within 10 days and will continue in his post as the Vice President of Afghanistan, said Abdullah Qarloq, Deputy Chief of Junbesh Party.

He further said that upon Dostum’s return back to Afghanistan, the Coalition for Salvation of Afghanistan will also intensifies its political activities across the country.

Meanwhile, Jamiat-e-Islami, another powerful party and a major part of the Coalition says that the Coalition for Salvation of Afghanistan will continue its gatherings in the presence of Afghanistan’s First Vice President.

However, sources from the country’s Attorney General told Ariana News that Dostum’s case regarding sexual abuse of a political rival, Ahmad Ishchi, is in progress.

Mr. Dostum left the country for Turkey around 7 months ago when he was accused of maltreating and sexual abuse of Ishchi, a political rival and his former deputy chief of Junbesh Party.

“The first vice president will continue in his post according to the provisions of the law and has some plans for elections and expanding the coalition’s activities”, added Mr.Qarloq.

The Coalition for Salvation of Afghanistan was shaped by General Dostum, Atta Mohammad Noor, the governor of Balkh, and Mohammad Mohaqiq, the Second Deputy of Afghan Chief Executive after the tensions intensified between the National Unity Government and these three political figures.

Farhad Azimi, a member of Jamiat Pary and Noor’s Spokesman also stated that the coalition’s activities are going on and upon coming of the First Vice President we will hold a large gathering in Kabul.

Some MPs believe that Dostum’s case of sexual abuse is a political conspiracy in order to prevent him from imposing his authorities.

“The accusations are all intended to make ethnic bias”, says Abdul Sattar Darzabi, a Member of Parliament from Faryab province.

But despite contradictive comments, Shah Hussain Murtazavi, the acting spokesperson of the President had recently expressed hope for healthy return of Dostum to the country.
