Ghani Assures to Prosecute Naveed’s Kidnappers

Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a telephone conversation with Naveed’s Father has assured that his son’s kidnappers will be publicly courted, amid residents of Farah province demanded the Government to sentence the kidnappers.

The 6-year-old Naveed was kidnapped a few weeks ago from Police District 3 of the provincial capital city, Farah.

The boy was released during an operation launched on Tuesday afternoon, in which four suspects were detained.

Kidnapping is considered a major problem in Afghanistan, therefore the law makers in the house of the parliament have insisted over the kidnapper’s public court.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during the telephone conversation assured Naveed’s father for the execution of his son’s kidnappers publicly.

President Ghani said, “Kidnappers are in detention of the Government, they will be executed accordingly to the existed laws and regulation of Afghanistan publicly, protection of the life of Afghan people and their properties is the responsibility of the Government, and those who are trying disrupting the common life of the Afghan people will be sentenced.”

National Directorate Security NDS in a statement noted that “We finally rescued the child after serious of operations and sent the culprits behind bars.”

Kidnappers asked the Naveed’s family to pay $ 3000, 00 later the amount decreased into $ 8000,0 as ransom.

Kidnapping is considered as ransom business here in Afghanistan which is mostly motive at the entire country for gaining more cash.
