Ghani extends term of appointed members of Senate House

President Ghani has extended the term of the appointed members of the Afghan Senate House, the Presidential palace announced on Saturday.
A statement released by the Presidential Palace read that the decision was taken after the President met with members of the Afghan Senate House on Friday evening.
As per the statement the Senate House requested Afghan President to extend the term of the appointed members in accordance with the enforced law of the country.
According to the decree, the appointed members of the Senate House will continue to their work until the end of 16th period of the Lower House of the Parliament and appointment of the new members as per the article 84 of the Afghan constitution.
