Afghan President Ashraf Ghani at the general session of the High Peace Council (HPC) meeting has warned to hunt down the insurgents who involved in recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.

“Those who are responsible for this tragedy and do not want peace, the door of peace is closed to them and we will dig them out from any hiding holes” Ghani said.

Ghani’s government has earlier said that the insurgents had crossed a red line and peace with the enemies should be gained in the battlegrounds.

President noted that the Taliban group now has two options; peace or war.

“Those who accept peace, they will witness that the nation will embrace them. But there is a clear difference, our commitment to bringing peace does not mean we will sit quietly and won’t retaliate,” Ghani said.

He also had a warning to a country which is the main center of Taliban and other terrorist groups.

“The country that thought to rise flood and crisis in Afghanistan by closing the Spin Boldak and Torkham doors for two days; Our message is that they can close it for a hundred years,” he added.

President Ghani alleged Friday Taliban insurgents fighting the Afghan government are using Pakistan as a center and demanded the neighboring country take immediate action against them.

Pakistani officials immediately denied the allegations that they are harboring Taliban groups, including the Haqqani network, which claimed to have carried out several of the recent attacks.

A Foreign Ministry statement in Islamabad said Afghanistan should focus on its domestic security lapses rather than blaming its neighbor.

The counter allegations have deteriorated an already strained and mistrust-marred relationship between Kabul and Islamabad.
