Ghani Stresses on Holding Election, Peace with Oppositions in New Year
Marking Nawroz, the first day of the New Solar Year in the Presidential Palace, President stated that government has much work to do in this year.
“All preparations have been taken to hold the National Council election this year and we will have the Presidential election next year,” Ghani said.
He also expressed over the country’s peace that faces obstacles and challenges.
“Our aim is is a comprehensive and dignified peace, and with the cooperation of our people we will achieve it. Our opponents must know that war is not the solution,” he added.
President Ghani accompanied by his wife Rula Ghani planted a tree in the grounds of the Presidential Palace to mark the New Year.
