Ghani Tasked Afghan Forces Not To Target HIA Military Bases

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has ordered all security departments not to target any military bases of the Hezb-i- Islami, but provide more facilities for the HIA fighters to collect their weapons and join peace process.

He also tasked the Afghanistan Security Council to step up for removing sanctions against Hezb-i- Islami.

Based on the decree 24 article the Attorney General office was also assigned to ensure the Judicial safety of the leader of Hezb-i- Islami and its members incoming two months.

According to President decree a joint committee with 6 members from Afghanistan and Hezb-i- Islami for taking the peace agreement into practical phase were established.

Part of the president decree states that Hezb-i- Islami Afghanistan according to Afghanistan constitution and other laws can bear civil and political rights, and by considering the law they can launch political activities, and the members of the following party can live at any part of the country.

In the other part of the decree is written that Hezb-i- Islami should demolish all their military and insurgency movements, and should also surrender those prisoners to the Afghan Government.

President Deputy Spokesman ShahHussien Murtzawe said,” Governmental departments are responsible to make sure that the Hezb-i- Islami members can be employed in Afghanistan Government structure.”

The Joint committee will begin working on Saturday to take the peace agreement into a practical phase.

head of the peace negotiation from HIA Mohammad Amin Karim said,” Afghan people hope to see the peace agreement is practically implemented, and the leader of the Hezb-i- Islami will join Government after the sanctions is removed.”

Meanwhile head of the civil society activist Aziz Rafiyee said,” Those who have committed crimes would not be remaining without going to a trail, because no one can guarantee the judicial safety or to have the authority to let one can go without trial.”

During his speech head of the peace negotiation from HIA Mohammad Amin Karim said,” Taliban don’t have the power to hold a state for ever or to control a city for days.”

 HIA- Afghan Government has signed a peace deal 30 days ago in 6 chapters and 26 articles.
