President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani in his meeting with Prime Minister of Italy declared that the terrorists have no link with Islam and its civilization.

Ghani noted that we cannot give up to the terrorism and a joint global combat should be carried out against terrorism.

In his press conference, Ghani demanded the continued presence of Italian forces in Afghanistan.

“Europe, Italy and Afghanistan are not the countries far apart, but are two regions that a joint threat make them united. The issue of intellectual stand against terrorism is very important. We must jointly stand against these threats,” said President Ghani.

He once again emphasized that Afghan troops will fight to protect the sovereignty of Afghanistan.

“Around 300,000 NATO and ISAF troops abandoned Afghanistan after their mission completed and transfer the responsibility to the Afghan forces. We will fight for our survival,” added Ghani.

In the meantime, Italy Prime Minister said that they are aware of terrorism threats and will fight against it.

“We have talked about Afghanistan situation and the region. We are aware of Afghanistan and the region’s situation. We are sure that Afghanistan infrastructures will not allow terrorists to prevail against Afghanistan,” said Italian prime minister.
