Gov’t committed to protect freedom of speech: Hashimi

Deputy spokesman of President Sayed Zafar Hashimi said Afghanistan Government is committed to protect freedom of speech which is years of achievement and that will not be dealt with no condition, saying Nation do need information without no censorship, no group and individual cant damage freedom of speech.

Tolo News and Moby group has held funeral ceremony for the staffs who have lost their life during a suicide attack targeted them last Wednesday in Darlaman road Kabul Afghanistan, in the following ceremony dozens of officials media staffs ,journalists and correspondents have attended.

Deputy spokesman Sayed Zafar Hashimi said,” Freedom of speech doesn’t go to one or two media it’s the achievements of all media who have been working for years,this has also been mentioned in the Afghanistan’s constitution as principle, no one can deal this achievement.”

Former second vice President Mohammad Karim Khalili said,” media is committed to provide information, no group can take over it.”

Head of mass media Sediqullah Tauhidi said,” no armed group can meet their object by killing innocent persons including correspondents and journalist.”

“Government and security department has the responsibility to ensure security for journalists and defend any threats they are facing a member of journalist civil society activist at danger Fahim fetrat said.”

Kabul police chief Gen Abdul Rahman Rahimi said,” we will take the revenge of media staffs whom were targeted last Wednesday,and we promise to ensure security for journalists.”

Earlier a number correspondents and journalists have lost their life while they were attacked by insurgents,no one has been executed yet.
