The National Unity Government (NUG) has failed to respond and address people’s complaints, said Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA).

“We have repeatedly collected complaints to submit them to government officials, but no one address them,” said Sayed Akram Afzali, Chief Executive of IWA.

Afzali noted that people do not have any role in monitoring processes and one of its reasons is the lack of government’s cooperation.

Denying the facts and lack of accountability by the government officials are said to be the other concerns for people.

“Currently, the people do not understand that what are their responsibilities against corruption,” said Sediqullah Tawhidi, a member of journalists safety committee.

Previously, the civil institutions and journalist safety committee have also accused the government of denying information and called the current situation challenging for Afghan people.
