Gov’t resumes Banayi, Sanayi housing projects

Minister of the Urban and Housing of Afghanistan Sayed Mansour Saadat Nadiri has jumped start the construction of the Hamkim Sanayi and Banayi housing projects where the construction process was stopped due to financial, legal issues but the representatives of the private construction companies promised to re-begin construction activities over the two projects by Wednesday.

In order to jump start the constructions of the two towns the Presidential palace have provided 940 million Afghani as loans to re begin the construction phase, 84 residential blocks will be built where it will house 3780 families.

Minister of Urban and Housing Sayed Mansour Saadat Nadiri said,” The main reason where the construction process stopped was the Government low shares, now things are ready and the re construction process begins again, it will also resolve part of the social problems of the residents who are suffering from having no shelters.”

Despite of Government share 70 private construction companies are holding shares, the representatives of the companies are optimistic saying the construction of the towns will create jobs opportunities for the residents.

Representative of private construction company Masoud said,” Construction process was stopped due to several issues, we will practically start the re construction of the projects by tomorrow, this will significantly impacts over boosting the economy of the country.”

Officials in Ministry of Urban and House claimed that Government of Afghanistan has solid decision to resolve the lack of shelters issues within the society, earlier the Khojarawash residential town was built with the cost of 700 million Afghani.
