Gov’t Should Launch Efforts to Inaugurate Lazuli Route: ACCI

Members at Afghanistan chamber of commerce and industry (ACCI) have demanded the Government to launch efforts to inaugurate the lazuli route for boosting the economy and amid break the dependence on transit for the country.

Insisting on the inauguration officials in chamber of commerce and industry has declared the inauguration of lazuli route is like oxygen for Afghanistan’s economy.

Valuing the issue economy experts also stated that using the lazuli route will save Afghanistan from going into economy crisis and it paves the way for increasing of opportunities for the Afghanistan’s products to be exported to abroad.

Meanwhile officials in Ministry of Foreign Affairs have also announced that the agreement on opening the following route between the related countries Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey is ready.

Deputy of chamber of commerce and industry Baz Moammad said, “We export our dry-fresh fruits, industrial products to European countries and middle Asia markets by using the route, demanding the Government to accelerate its efforts to open the route.”

Economy expert Taj Mohammad Talash said, “This is an important project for Afghan Government economy, but the domestic issues within the related sectarian Ministries caused the efforts to be launched as slow motion.”

The route will be the most cheapest, suitable, and shortest way for Afghanistan’s products to reach to European and middle Asia markets.
