Armed militants attacked over the house of an Afghan lawmaker in Parwan province on Monday night.

The attack was launched at 7:30 pm last night over the residential area of Abdul Sattar Khawasi, a member of the Parliament of Afghanistan, in Shinwary district in northern Parwan province, police said.

No causalities were reported immediately after the attack.

District police chief, Hussain Shah Maqsoud told Ariana News that Khawasi came to his residential area in Ghorband valley for his vacation, but his house was attacked with light and heavy guns at least four times last night.

According to police the clashes between the militants and bodyguards of Afghan MP continued till midnight.

At the same time Khawasi said it was a coordinated attack by the enemies of Afghanistan, because the enemies are assigned and directed by the foreigners.

Abdul Sattar Khawasi is an Afghan lawmaker from Parwan province of Afghanistan who once called on the residents of Ghorband district for Jihad against the U.S. forces in Afghanistan after a joint Afghan-NATO forces operation left at least 12 civilians including women and children dead.
