Gunmen Kidnapped Foreign National in Kabul

A foreign national was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from police district 10 in Kabul on Monday morning, a police official said.
Kabul police confirms that a German female aid worker with GIZ was kidnapped from police district 10, Qalaye Fatullah area of Kabul city by unidentified gunmen.
The incident occurs as US Embassy in Kabul warned the U.S. citizens in Afghanistan to restrict travels across the city as Taliban insurgents have planned to perform coordinated attacks over a U.S. center in police district four, Taimani area of Kabul city.
The U.S. Embassy statement says areas where westerners congregate such as Kabul International Airport, vehicle services workshops, pump stations, supermarkets and a barbershop in Bagram road are among the possible Taliban target areas.
The kidnapping comes days after the Taliban unleashed a wave of deadly bombings in Kabul, killing and injuring hundreds of civilians and security members.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the abduction so far.
