Head of UNICEF in Afghanistan bids farewell as tenure ends
The head of UNICEF in Afghanistan, Fran Equiza, held a farewell meeting with the deputy foreign minister Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanakzai this week as his two-year tenure came to an end.
Equiza said at the meeting that he takes away good memories.
He also thanked all the institutions of the Islamic Emirate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their cooperation. He said “Dr. Tajuddin will continue the work of UNICEF in Afghanistan.”
Stanakzai in turn thanked UNICEF for the work it has done in the country.
He praised Equiza for the work done and said Afghanistan was his second home.
He also wished him luck with his future endeavors.
