Heavy Snow Fall Blocks off Traffic Ways for 12 Provinces :Wahid

Officials in Ministry of public works have said, “Heavy snow has blocked off the main roads to 12 Provinces.”

They have claimed that efforts are underway to clean up the roads for traffics.

Meanwhile Afghanistan forecasting weather department have predicted that 10^th of March will be snowy day in Afghanistan.

Deputy Minister of Public works Ahmad Shah Wahid said,” heavy snow has blocked off the main roads to 12 located in Northern Provinces efforts are underway to clean up the roads when the snow stops.”

Salang Pass is one of the highways connects North to the capital and south part of the country, this main road has been blocked off by the heavy snow several times in the past 12 hours and several days, this highway has been witnessing dozens of avalanches.

Acting Manager in department of forecasting weather Nasim Muradi said,” the weather forecasting indicates weather will be normal in Salang Pass on Monday but on 10^th of March it will snow again.”

The snow falls this year has killed hundreds and damaged thousand residential houses in 18 provinces of the country especially in Panjshir province.
