Herat Airport Police Chief Arrested on ‘Smuggling’ Charges

Local officials in Herat province confirmed on Thursday that Abdul Hai Rasouli, the Herat Airport police chief, has been arrested by a delegation from Kabul.

A reliable source has told BBC that Mr. Rasouli has been arrested on alleged role in drug-trafficking.

The Herat police has denied to make a comment about the incident.
