Huge Blast Rocks Jalalabad City of Nangarhar Province
A huge blast has just been heard in Jalalabad City of the Eastern Nangarhar province near Sherzai Stadium, where a large gathering was held in support of President Ghani.
As, the powerful blast has been heard near the large gathering during rush hour, the casualties and destructions are expected to be high.
It’s reported that at least 7 people have been killed and 13 others wounded so far.
The city was yesterday also targeted by 3 consecutive blasts in which a National Directorate Security (NDS) local official lost his life along with 2 soldiers and 6 other soldiers sustained serious injuries.
According to Nangarhar’s security officials, a local Television Network was the main target of the attacks but Afghan security forces managed to foil the plot and killed the terrorists before reaching their target.
No groups has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far. But the terror group, Islamic State, has recently declared the media as their legitimate targets.
