Hundreds of Afghans Hold Protest Against NUG in Washington
The protesters called on NUG to address the justice voices of Afghans and cut relations with Pakistan.
“Shooting at protesters was not the good answer from government,” an Afghan angry protestor said.
Another protester said, “the National Unity Government failed to provide security. They should admit and resign.”
Protestors held posters and banners and shouted slogans like ‘Pakistan is a terrorist State’, ‘Pakistan close your terrorist factories’, ‘ISI is equal to Al Qaeda’.
“How are they call themselves Muslims, by sending terrorist to kill innocent people?” one of other protestors said.
Afghanistan is still suffering from insecurity and violence years after the United States and its allies invaded the country in 2001 as part of Washington’s so-called war on terror. The military invasion removed the Taliban from power, but the militancy continues to this day.
