IEA delegation arrives in Islamabad for talks

A delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), led by Kandahar Governor Mullah Shirin Akhund, has arrived in Islamabad for talks with Pakistani officials.

The delegation, consisting 9 to 10 members, includes Afghan Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Information and intelligence officials.

The joint meeting of Pak-Afghan Joint Coordination Council will be held in Islamabad, and the Afghan delegation will also meet Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Asif Durrani. During the visit of the Afghan delegation to Pakistan, meetings are expected with the Foreign Office, military officials and others.

Pakistan will discuss the alleged anti-Pakistan use of Afghan territory by banned groups in Afghanistan, while the issue of safe havens for militants in Afghanistan will also be discussed.

It is also expected to demand the extradition of Hafiz Gul Bahadur and other militants in Afghanistan.

Visa-free transportation on Chaman border will also be discussed.
