IEC chief resigns after disputed 2014 elections

Presidential palace during a press release has confirmed the resignation of Afghanistan Independent Election Commission IEC Ahmad Yousuf Nuristani late Saturday evening.
President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has appreciated his act and signed his resignation letter.
Part of the press release indicates that Mr. Nuristani has realized that current condition of Afghanistan, and has resigned from his position.
Mr. Nuristani has been the head of IEC for more than year and held Presidential Elections in the past, and he was to hold parliamentary Election in the future.
