The Ministry of Interior (MoI) says the implementation process of Kabul Security Plan has been started and will be implement in coordination of the NATO’s Resolute Support forces.

“The Kabul security plan has been finalized and a part of it started which 65 percent of the plan implemented,” said Wais Ahmad Barmak, the Interior Minister.

However, the implementation of Kabul security plan follows harsh criticisms of Kabul residents.

The capital dwellers complain over the block of roads that have created many problems for them.

The MoI has assured that currently the capital is not under serious threat and tight measures have been taken for providing the security.

The recent spate of deadly attacks in the capital Kabul could indicate a much worse and more fragile period ahead.

The security situation in Afghanistan has continued to deteriorate with intensifying clashes between the Taliban and Afghan security forces.

In addition, the emergence of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the increasing number of attacks perpetrated by the group have added another layer of complexity to the overall security environment.
