India to invest in textile sector in Afghanistan

India’s ambassador to Kabul has said that they are ready to invest in Afghanistan in cooperation with Afghan investors to activate the textile industry.
Amar Sinha, India’s ambassador to Kabul assured that his country is committed to the creation of new technologies for textile factories in Afghanistan.
The ministry of commerce and industry on Wednesday signed an agreement on India’s investment in textile sector in Afghanistan.
Officials in ministry of commerce and industry said that India’s investments in textile sector can turn Afghanistan into a country exporting textile.
The textile industry or apparel industry is primarily concerned with the production of yarn and cloth and the subsequent design or manufacture of clothing and their distribution. The raw material may be natural, or synthetic using products of the chemical industry.
