Since the beginning of the year 2015, increasing reports about fighters operating inside Afghanistan under the black banner of Daesh, the Arabic acronym of the self-declared Islamic State, have emerged.

First, there were rumors alleging that foreign fighters, supposedly linked to Daesh, appeared in Afghanistan, specifically in the western province of Farah, bordering Iran, and the southern provinces of Helmand and Zabul, bordering Pakistan. Those rumors were followed by sightings of black-dressed warriors.

Islamic State (IS) Group is a serious threat for Afghanistan and the world, spokesman of ministry of interior said.

The ministry of interior affairs confirmed the presence of Islamic state group in several parts of the country and announced about the preparations of Afghan troops for dealing of this group.

The ministry of interior affairs for the first time confirms the presence of Daesh in several parts of the country.

Afghan military analysts view is this that The Taliban have been weakened and would henceforth to present themselves in Dash clothing.

Sidiq Sidiqii, spokesman of interior ministry said, “Dash presents in some parts of the country. We cannot say the places of this group. But we are prepared to deal with this group.”

Earlier, some of the military officials of the country have also confirmed the presence of Deash in some parts of the country.

Even without hard evidence of a real presence on the ground, the looming specter of Daesh will likely continue to haunt Afghanistan. However, it seems also clear that the caliphate will not find the Promised Land in ancient Khorasan, but will instead face great tribulations and rifles and bayonets will multiply against them. It remains to be seen if they are up to the task; in their view.
