IS Militants Kill Religious Scholar in Nangarhar
Provincial governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said last night Daesh militants have kidnapped Mawlawi Abdul Samad who was Imam of a mosque in Qala Akhond area of Rodat district and then they have shoot him dead.
According to the source, Mawlawi Abdul Samad, 45, had no relation with government and was teaching religious books beside leading the prayers in the mosque.
Meanwhile, provincial police officials confirmed that seven Daesh militants including a senior commander were killed by a drone strike in Kot district of Nangarhar on Friday night.
The drone attack was carried out in Laghar Joy area of Kot district where Mullah Buzorg and six of his men were killed and some ammunition were destroyed.
The Islamic State also known as Daesh has not made a comment about these reports yet.
