Jamiat-e Islami Criticizes Ghani over Monopolizing Power

Afghanistan Jamiat-e Islami party has warned that unless President Ghani ends monopolizing Power, the current regime will be collapsed.

Members of Jamiat-e Islami party have declared that President Ghani has monopolized the political and economic systems but he must divide power among partners to rescue the country.

“President Ghani wants to monopolize the power and have all political and economic affairs in hands and the regime will be collapsed if this process continues,” said Fazlul Ahmad Manwi, member of Jamiat-e Islami party.

In the meantime, Jonbsh-e Mili party led by first vice-president, Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum says they have reached to an agreement with Jamiat-e Islamic for long-term cooperation; citing most of President’s actions are democratic.

“Based on the constitutions, President should share the government with all authorities and the problems will not be solved if the president be irresponsible against these issues,” said Bashir Ahmad Tayenj, spokesman of Afghanistan Jonbsh-e Mili party.

Previously, the Afghan First- Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum criticized Ashraf Ghani in a video shared on head of Vice-President’s Office; claiming he has no authority in the framework of the governance and that all his authority and power are been restricted by the President.

He added that the President neither believes in his competence nor supports him.

Afghanistan recently sent a team of officials to investigate alleged abuses by militias loyal to two rival strongmen in the country’s north, underlining concern that tensions there are undermining the authority of the government in Kabul.
