Japan assisted $ 6 billion to Afghanistan since 2001

After the collapse of Taliban regime, many countries of the world took part in assistance to Afghanistan which Japan is among those countries.

Japan’s ambassador to Kabul says that his country assisted nearly $ 6 billion to Afghanistan that most of the aids have been spent in construction, education and agriculture fields.

Meanwhile, believing that support for the consolidation of peace is the most important thing for the Afghan people the embassy of Japan announced $ 200,000 assistance for two projects in Nangarhar.

Japan will pay the cost of two development projects in Khewa and Surkhrood districts of Nangarhar province.

“Following to our aids for Afghanistan, we pledged two new projects for horticulture and construction of orphanages and our assistance will continue to Afghanistan,” said ambassador of Japan to Kabul.

Afghan minister of economic has also considered Japan’s aids effective in several parts of the country.

“Japan has been one of the biggest donor countries of Afghanistan since many years ago and its aids are valuable for economic growth,” said Abuidullah Naeemi, head of NGO department of economic ministry.

 Efforts toward stability in Afghanistan lead to the peace and stability of not only the Middle East and Central Asia but the whole world and also to the eradication and prevention of terrorism.

Moreover, support for the reconstruction of Afghanistan sends a strong message to other countries faced with conflicts that, by pursuing peace, they can receive support from the international community.

As a responsible member of the international community, Japan will continue to play an active and leading role in contributing to the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
