Kabul Acting Police Commander Announces New Draft Strategy for Securing Capital
Muhammad Salem Asas, the Acting Provincial Police Commander For Kabul, has announced a new draft strategy for securing Kabul City.
According to the draft strategy, Kabul will implement the following security measures:
26 checkpoints in diplomatic locations
10 mobile barriers in diplomatic areas
1 Security Headquarters for the security of diplomatic areas
Creation of barriers in 27 areas
Specific route for high tonnage vehicles
8 dogs for checkpoints
Mobile scanners in some areas of the city
In the meantime, the acting head of the Kabul municipality made an announcement regarding urban transport and road standardizations.
“Our supportive programs will directly affect the security programs for Kabul and In the terms of road traffic management, the construction of roads in Kabul involves the construction of urban public transport,” said Abdullah Habib Zai, the acting head of Kabul Municipality.
Habib Zai also noted that the special security strategy for Kabul will begin within diplomatic areas and extend across the city.
