Kabul Blast Kills 4, Injures 30

A roadside bomb struck a minibus in Taimani area of the capital Kabul during the evening rush hour, killing at least 4 people and wounding 30 others.

Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the improvised explosive device had been planted on the roadside.

Sediq Sediqi, spokesman of MoI noted that one person was killed and 19 others were wounded that most of them were civilians.

“It was a heavy explosion, I rushed to security forces but they did not help to transfer the causalities to the hospital. They warned me to wait for the ambulance to come and transfer the people to the hospital,” Ahmad, one of the eyewitnesses said.

According to another eyewitness around 24 injuries were transferred to the Emergency Hospital.

The Islamic State (IS)-Daesh group has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to a statement released by the terror group, it said the minivan was targeted because it was carrying “security forces”.
