Hundreds of Kabul residents protested on Thursday against security official’s negligence and the existence of the “Fifth Column” in the system.

The protestors called on National Unity Government (NUG) to wipe out individuals cooperating with Taliban and do not allow any other shameful incidents like fall of Kundoz province occurred.

Amid anti-Taliban slogans, the capital dwellers and civil society activists cried for peace and punishment of Kundoz governor.

“Why such incident happens in Kundoz? Why the government has not anticipated? The situation of the province was full of crisis and its governor was busy with his pleasures,” Amin Farhang, one of the protesters said.

A small child among the protesters also said, “We love Peace but the interventionists are aiming our pigeon peace.”

The proterstors are said to consider Pakistan the main factor for insecurity in Afghanistan and urged the government to now allow terrorists to take civilians victims anymore.

This comes as that the Head of Afghanistan National Directorate Security (NDS), Rahmatullah Nabil on Tuesday’s session at Parliament has apologized Afghanistan nation for the fall of Kundoz province.

Nabil talking at Wolesi Jirga acknowledged that Security Forces failed to prevent the Kundoz disaster.

The seizure of Kunduz underscored the weakness of Afghan forces, who took over responsibility for security this year as the U.S. military began withdrawing.
