‘KHALID’ Operation Cleared Ten Districts of Terrorists: MoD

Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) says Afghan security forces’ “Khalid” operation cleared ten districts of the armed oppositions in the first three months of the current solar year.

According to MoD, eight districts so far are under the control of the armed oppositions of the government and seven provinces are under serious security threats.

Deputy spokesman of MoD said, “Emam Saheb district in Kunduz, Zebak, Ashkasham, Rakhestan and Tagab districts in Badakhshan, Jani Khail district in Paktia, Omna district in Paktika, Nawa district in Helmand, Darzab district in Jawzjan and Dasht-e Archi district in Kunduz have been cleared of the terrorists.”

“We have launched operation daily and at night and we could destroy mine making and drug factory of the oppositions,” said Muhammad Radmanish, deputy spokesman of MoD.

However, some districts such as Nawzad, Musa Qala, Deshew and Baghran in Helmand, Day Chopan and Khak-e Afghan in Zabul, Dahan-e Ghori in Baghlan and Wardoj in Badakhshan are under the control of the armed oppositions.

“Some of the generals take the salaries of the soldiers and do businesses with their equipments,” said Hashem Alkozay, head of security and defensive commission of the Senate House.

According to Afghan President, nearly 20 terrorist groups are currently fighting with the Afghan government.
