Kundoz supply corridor opens as Taliban’s fears not vanished

Afghanistan Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced on Monday about opening of Kundoz supply line.

The acting defense minister says that supply routes of Kundoz to Baghlan, Takhar and Badakhshan have been opened and public services restarted in Kundoz city.

However, Kundoz; a province which takes relieved after three weeks. But its districts are still face serious threats by the terrorists.

MoD’s top authority claims that as a result of Afghan security forces operation in the south, the largest Taliban’s control center destroyed.

Masoum Istanikzai, ministry of defense acting minister noted that the operation launched by Afghan security forces was unprecedented in the past ten years which in its result, the Afghan forces find evidences that reveal all interventions of foreign countries in Afghanistan affairs.

“The enemy used Shurabak district to organize biggest terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. We have found some documents from this center which we will reveal it after reviewing them,” Istanikzai said.

This comes as the ministry of defense demanded Afghan people and all political figures to support security forces in combat against terrorists and prevent negative propaganda against Afghan forces.

Kunduz was the first major town to fall under Taliban control since the hardline group was ousted from power in 2001, and its capture marks a significant military victory for its recently appointed leader, Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.
