Kundoz’s journalists demands govt. for attention on media situation

A number of journalists in Kundoz province demanded for government’s attention and journalists defending institutions on journalists and media outlets of Kundoz province.

The journalists claim that all media outlets in Kundoz are looted and set on fire and the staffs are in a critical and bad situation.

They accused Taliban of inhuman acts such as; killing of innocent people, sexual abuse, looting and burning the underlying resources.

“With attacking on Kundoz, Taliban have burned all government and non-governmental institutions, media buildings and relief agencies,” Muhammad Saber Yousufi, head of Cheragh Radio said.

Head of Shayesta Radio also said, “We do not know who will help us and take our hands; we who are eager to work for our province and country.”

This comes as a box has been set to the name of journalist in the ministry of information and culture but it is still unclear that what the ministry has assisted the journalists.
