The Wolesi Jirga (lower house of the parliament) members have praised President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai’s move towards curbing corruption.

The MPs urged the new government to take serious steps for reform in the system and also introduce the cabinet to ease people’s and government problems.

The lawmakers announced their support of every step of new government in order to eliminate corruption.

“We want the government to bring serious reform in the country’s judicial system,” female lawmaker Shekeba Hashemi said. “And we also want the government to take strong action against land usurpation.”

Some other MPs called on the national unity government to introduce the new cabinet so that people’s problems would be removed from the ministries.

These statements are expressed as President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has decided to reopen the case of Kabul Bank shareholders who had stolen bank’s properties and fled the country.
