Afghanistan Executive Office (EO) says that no Loya Jirga will be held before holding the Parliamentary election and districts council.

While criticizes have increased over not holding the Loya Jirga, the executive office considers holding the Loya Jirga before Parliamentary election impossible.

Deputy spokesman of executive officer declared that the National Unity Government (NUG) is determined to hold a Loya Jirga but based on the political agreement between the government’s leaders, first reforms should bring into the electoral system and then the parliamentary election must be held.

“Holding a Loya Jirga of the constitution is imperative and the its pre-condition is electoral reforms and holding the Parliamentary election,” said Jawid Faisal, deputy spokesman of executive office.

But the “Subat and Harasat” council criticized the government over negligence in holding the Loya Jirga and also considered the announced date for parliamentary election unrealistic and impractical.

This comes as that the council claimed that NUG has been failed in most of its tasks, particularly providing the security of the country.
